Summary
Something is weird with Shane’s body this season.
It's on his list to see the team doctor about. Though on the other hand, maybe it would clear up in the next week and the doctor would tell him that he was overreacting, that he should just drink more water or something.
So it's fine, really. Shane's not worried.- -
Shane and Ilya fuck up and don't realise until roughly nine months later, when it is far, far too late.

Summary
It’s late in the first period when the news breaks.
Shane stands. He’s not sure why, not at first, as he sweeps the ice, looking for blood or a mouthful of teeth or anything that would explain this sudden silence.
Le Centre-Bell is never quiet.- -
Hayden's video leaks partway through the 2022 season, while Montréal is playing Ottawa. Shane trades himself to the opposing team.
- -
Or: remember when Patrick Roy traded himself in the middle of a game? Shane can do that, too.

Against all odds, Remus and Sirius have survived. The war is over--for good this time--and it is time to rest.
A vignette of sorts.

Summary
Up close, Narcissa could see the childish baby fat still clinging to Harry Potter’s face. He looked exhausted even in death. Draco had looked the same way the last time she had seen him.
Narcissa carefully, gently placed a finger on the boy’s eyelid and pulled it back, peering into his clear green eye for any sign of movement in the sudden light.
There was none.✶ ✶ ✶
The Battle of Hogwarts, had Harry woken up just a little later. Featuring Narcissa's POV of part of the Battle and Hermione's revenge.

Summary
Rozanov cocked his head. “You speak Russian? Or just the curse words?”
“Yes, I speak Russian,” he snapped, defensive and angry. He knew that it had been a mistake to even try to be friendly with Rozanov. “Why? Do I not look Russian to you?” He scoffed.
“No, not really,” Rozanov said. Some of his teammates laughed, although they mostly looked surprised that Shane was speaking to them at all. Rozanov didn’t laugh, though. “Are you Russian?”
“Go fuck yourself.”
+++
Despite an inauspicious start, when Russia’s Ilya Rozanov learns that Canada’s Shane Hollander is fluent in Russian at their first World Junior Championships tournament, it changes everything and sets them on a different course. Instead of being branded as rivals from the very beginning, Ilya and Shane start off as friends.
And, after all, a little friendly rivalry never hurt anyone, did it?

Summary
The doorbell rings just as Shane is finishing brushing his teeth – the first thing they rose to do, because he wants to kiss Ilya good morning – and he and Ilya exchange a confused look in the bathroom mirror. It's barely dawn, and Ilya's curls are adorably tousled from sleep as he scratches his ribs lazily, toothbrush dangling from the corner of his mouth.
Shane hesitates, then rinses his toothpaste out and runs a hand through his hair. "Fuck, it's probably anti-doping."
No one else would be here at this hour – unless it's an emergency.

Summary
Ilya died, yes, but then the doctors saved him. Cardiopulmonary resuscitation in the ambulance, three electric shocks, two emergency surgeries, twenty-six units of blood. Ilya died, but then he came back.
If only Shane could get his subconscious to understand that.
