    He knew that his mental state was declining. Maybe it was a side effect of the Arcane fucking with his mind but most likely it was a side effect of witnessing what could have been. Seeing the life he could have lived with her. A life he left behind to save everyone else.
    She helped him see the light again but after loosing her it felt as if he was swallow up hole by the darkness she left behind.

    He was known as some sort of savior. Coming in the most dire moments, helping the people get back on their feet, give them food and water or simply conjuring a smile of their faces. This time he was powerless and he might just have to add another name to the list of people he couldn’t save. His own.
