Summary
Nico hated Percy. He hated his sea green eyes that swirled with the power of the ocean. He hated his unruly black hair that still somehow seemed styled. He hated how he was surrounded by loved ones and gods and secret admirers. He hated how he doted on his girlfriend, never casting a glance in another direction. He hated him with all his being.
(And yet, why did he still love him?)

** spoilers through ep 3 Power Broker **
Going to see Zemo had been an act of desperation.
Breaking him out, an act of madness.
Returning him to custody? An impossible calculation, even for his big cyborg brain. Too many unknown variables.
Until Zemo snagged his book and read a name, and all the processing of hypotheticals and unknown dangers and anticipated double-crossings coalesced around simple inevitability.

Sam had stopped asking him if he was okay after his third attempt that had been answered with a blunt “I’m fine”.
Missing scene on the flight out of Madripoor because there's no way that didn't trigger shit for Bucky.

“It is a masterpiece, James. Complete, comprehensive. It captures the African-American experience.”
Bucky had no idea how a simple conversation about music had escalated like this. It had seemed like perfectly normal banter, Sam trying to lift the mood, making fun of Bucky for being old-fashioned, and then Zemo had interfered with that comment and it was downhill from there.
