Summary
Usami is nothing if not an excellent soldier. He is Tsurumi's most vicious, most devoted, most adoring-- his most cherished tool. He lives with his fangs bared and his jaw locked down, and he never, ever lets go. For that, Usami has always been rewarded; it began with an embrace in a sunset-soaked courtyard, the body of his best friend cooling beside them. Tsurumi's assuaging then- the succor of his scent, the gentle press of his hand, the murmured assurances that Usami remained his number one- had reshaped him like clay until he was pliant and eager and utterly Tsurumi's forevermore. Partners in crime.
But he has never been punished.
Usami sends a telegram and eagerly awaits the consequences.

Summary
There is a childishness to Usami's world view that he never quite grew out of, stunted not in growth but in mind. There’s an innocence to his violence, a disregard for other people’s pain mirroring that of a child for its toys.
He’s perfect in that aspect – at least for Ogata. Usami is utterly ruthless when he needs to be, or when it is asked of him. He’s a blunt force weapon, meant to wielded in a steady hand with a wide swing so that the victim can see it when it’s coming.
Ogata’s never been one for close combat, but he understands the mechanics. He’s well practiced in the art of self-flagellation, bright bursts of pain followed by a wave of gratification. The brain releases endorphins when it senses injury; it’s only natural that it also derives specific pleasures from pain. Usami's violence suits him well.

Usami backed off to tilt his head.
“The missing one. You imbecile.”An AU where Ogata returns to the Seventh after his injury. As he's healing up in the hospital, Usami comes over to pester him. They are bored. And one of them has a lighter.
