Boyd had a habit of letting his curiosity (his controlling need to know people’s secrets) get him into trouble.
Sometimes this meant jail. Sometimes this meant dead bodies.
On one particularly exceptional occasion, this meant a butt plug.
Said occasion proved to eventually be extremely disruptive to his life.
Surprisingly, far more so than killing people tended to be.

“We’d be cut down before we get outside of this fucking cabin and you know it,” Boyd said softly. “You know it. Even if we broke free, they’d hunt us down and then what would happen? You really think they’d just shove us down that shaft, be done with it? You heard him, there’s more than one guy eager to see us perform. If it ain’t us doing it ourselves then they’ll give us a helping hand. Let’s not encourage them to consider audience participation.”
Images in Raylan’s mind. He closed his eyes and tried to focus again. There had to be another way out. There had to be. Tim was out there, he’d probably start looking for him after a period of time and Tim wasn’t the type who walked into traps. And that was such a big If that Raylan hated thinking about it further.
“Raylan, if you ever had any faith in me before, give it to me now.” The voice was soft but firm. “We can get out of this.”
