Summary
Nathaniel Wesninski should have died an early death after Nathan caught up with him and his mother in a hotel outside of Austin Texas, however a call his mother placed to his uncle weeks before is what saves his life and has him on flight to London for recovery. Years later and he is back in America for an indefinite time and he has work to do, if only he could focus on it.
Andrew Minyard cares less about Exy than he does most things these days, not even the happy pills that keep him high high high can get him interested in the sport. If he believed in regret he’d regret ever making deals to play with his cousin and wayward twin. So the fact that he finds himself intrigued by anything to do with exy at all is disconcerting to say the least. The Ravens’ mouthy new recruit is interesting and an incomplete puzzle that screams danger and Andrew is itching to put the pieces together. To pursue this interest would be stupid, but Andrew has always been more than a little self destructive.
Or, no matter what universe they’re in Neil is interesting and Andrew is enraptured.

Neil’s grin is audible as he replies. "Riko’s antics getting outed to the public would make him a liability. And I do remember telling you that threats need to be dealt with accordingly."
Kevin's stomach lurches into his throat with the conclusions he jumps to. "So, you’re gonna go back to the Nest?" He asks quietly. Slowly. Unsure how to feel about Neil putting himself in that situation again. He can't do that, right? He has other things to worry about now.
Neil hums disapprovingly. "Try again," He offers.
Kevin does. "You're... coming to Palmetto?"
The au where Kevin doesn't have full confidence in Andrew's ability to stand between him and his lurking demons after only spending a few months at Palmetto. But with the dangerous card itching to emerge from under his sleeve, does he really need to?

Summary
Neil’s breath is hot and awful against Andrew’s thigh. “I can’t be sick on your birthday,” he says, like it’s that simple. “I can’t be sick on you on your birthday.”
“How considerate,” Andrew’s voice is a bland murmur, and he is left watching Neil’s bloodless, wet lips, as he curls into Andrew’s lap.
Neil gently pulls away after a moment, leaning back into Andrew’s hand on his neck. “Is me being sick still making you anxious?” he asks. Fever-stricken with dizzied-eyes and delirious thoughts, he knows Andrew without more than a moment beside him, a look into his eyes that makes Andrew feel undone, found.
Or Neil is sick and Andrew isn’t coping well.

Summary
Neil was a fugitive in the most literal sense of the word. He'd been running for as long as he could remember — his few moments of courage during childhood to protect his siblings didn't change what he was. He ran away from absolutely everything.
From his father.
From his people.
From his kingdom.
From his family.
From his Anam.
From himself.
But running away wouldn't be an option forever, not when his fate seemed to bring him to the door of the people he ran to protect.
At some point, Neil was going to have to stop running and face up to what he was created to do. At some point, Neil would have to accept who and what he was.
And apparently, this moment had finally arrived. -
