Another whimper, slightly louder now. Kei must've heard him. Before the guilt could eat Fuma up, he pushes the door handle down to peek inside.
The first thing he gets hit with is the scent. Bourbon vanilla and sweet, ripe peach fill his lungs, and Fuma's body reacts before his mind does. He pushes in more, the scent coaxing him into moving, and only when he spots Kei does he realise what's going on.
