As if he could read his mind, Carlos looks at him and murmurs: “It’s been a while since I got to celebrate a win. Even if it’s not mine. You know?”
He sounds apologetic, but the child-like joy is still on his face. A strand of his hair has fallen over his eyes. Jannik fights the urge to reach out and tuck it behind his ear for him. He’s had to fight his instincts so many times throughout the night. He’s missed Carlos so much, and being in his close proximity for so long without having his game on the court to focus on is proving difficult. He feels constantly on the edge of doing something completely reckless, something much more outrageous than tucking a strand of his hair behind his ear.

Jannik is in New York at the same time as the World Cup Final. Turns out Carlos is attending and has an extra ticket for him.

Oscar choked on a french fry, lightly patting his chest and grabbing his drink to wash it down. “Have you thought about the fact that he probably likes the area?”
“No! He goes there with a hoodie and a backpack, he’s probably on his way home or something! Could you imagine? Spiderman could actually live in the flats opposite us!” Lando exclaimed, turning his head to the window and he could slightly see the same building. The world now becoming suffocated by the increasing darkness, the sunset long gone.
Oscar pinched the bridge of his nose, “I think you’re reading into this way too much, mate.”
OR
Lando is obsessed with the friendly-neighbourhood Spiderman and Oscar is his good best friend that listens.
