Desperate enough to call management and ask for someone to at least let her collect her things, Lena is expecting an irritated maintenance worker.
Instead, Kara Danvers shows up.
Kara is thirty-seven, unfairly attractive, apparently incapable of noticing when she’s being flirted with, and exactly sympathetic enough that Lena thinks she might be able to negotiate one more night in the apartment.
Lena has negotiated worse things for considerably less.
