Summary
There was no one left to pray to. No angels he cared about since Cas had been taken by the Empty. No God. There was Jack, whatever kind of God he was, but Dean didn’t pray to him either. He prayed to a thing inside himself. A creature who cowered and whined and hid its face under the blanket of a Hunter’s disguise, telling itself over and over that it was good. It was good and righteous and it had saved more than it had killed.

After 2 months apart from eachother while Cas assisted Jack in heaven, Cas and Dean are reunited and realise that the age old epithet “absence makes the heart grow fonder” really is true after all.

Summary
Dean Winchester has been married for twenty-six hours when he discovers that Castiel is an absolute menace on a honeymoon.
Apparently, marriage has turned Cas into a man who says “my husband” to complete strangers, wears black shirts with entirely too many buttons undone, steals Dean’s fries, takes terrible selfies, and touches Dean whenever he damn well feels like it.
Dean retaliates the only way he knows how: by becoming the most obnoxiously affectionate newlywed alive.
There are matching JUST MARRIED shirts. An increasingly traumatised Sam. Too many photographs. A suspicious amount of public kissing. One deeply competitive trip into the ocean. A moonlit beach that results in Dean discovering that sand is, in fact, Satan’s fucking glitter.
But somewhere between wedding rings glinting beneath the sun, slow dances under string lights, quiet mornings tangled together and Cas promising that he’ll still be Dean’s husband tomorrow—and the morning after that—Dean begins to understand something he never quite learned how to believe:
Happiness doesn’t have to be borrowed.
The honeymoon might have to end.
They don’t.
