He’s sharing a condo. With House.
And as a man in his forties, employed as the head of the oncology department, James should easily be able to afford an apartment on his own.
Yet he lives with House, who is also a doctor and department head, respectively, and likely also gets paid the salary of a person leading a department. Meaning he could also comfortably live on his own.
Which would indicate that they chose to live together.
But there’s really no reason at all for James to live with another person, unless…
Unless he’s in a relationship with said person.
Or: James Wilson wakes up in the hospital, thinking he's happily married to Sam in the year 1990, only to learn that he is suffering from retrograde amnesia.
Turns out it's 2010, he's divorced thrice over and shares a condo with a man.
What follows is a sexuality crisis of epic proportions, Wilson trying to deal with sharing his space with House and coming to terms with the fact that maybe, just maybe, he's is in love with the obnoxious, grizzly man.
And then his memories return.
James Wilson is utterly fucked.

He looked over at Wilson, about to lament to him about the lack of creativity at this animal shelter when he was met with a big toothy grin.
“What?”
Wilson shook his head, but his smile grew to the point of being painful. “Nothing. I just- I didn't expect you to be a small dog kind of guy.”
“I'm—” House looked back at the dog and then at Wilson. “I'm not. I was just giving it some attention.”
“I think you're giving it a home, House.”
A fic about them adopting a dog that House ends up falling in love with. And then he does something stupid and they have kinky sex about it.

House pulled in a shaky breath and his brow puckered slightly.
Wilson smoothed the wrinkle between his brows with his thumb. “How does that sound, huh? Being out in the cold while I fuck a nice boy who doesn’t even know my name?”
“No.” He whispered hoarsely. “No, Daddy I’m sorry. I can be good, I’ll be good.” He’s so desperate to rush out the words he’s stuttering and tripping over his tongue.
Wilson cocked his head curiously. That was…not quite the response he’d anticipated. He scanned the man below him, concerned a corner had been turned. “Baby…?”

Summary
Wilson notices things in House that he didn’t before. He notices that House eats the yogurt first because he knows that Wilson’s favorite parts of the parfait are the fruit and the granola, notices that House has beautiful flashing blue eyes and a gorgeous smile. He notices House’s cute little habit of playing with his own hair when he’s bored and the way House likes his coffee; black with an ungodly amount of sugar.
Wilson notices things in himself that weren’t there before either. He notices that his heart is beating far too fast, that his face is hot, that his fingers twitch with anxiety and that he can’t stop himself from scratching the back of his neck. He’s so tired from losing sleep over the issue that he can barely stay awake, even with House looking him in the eye the way he is right now.
“The hell’s wrong with you?”
