Even when she’s thought about being a girl for multiple decades subconsciously, she didn’t let herself imagine it too hard or it would break the carefully crafted house of cards she had built. Every card she had set had been meticulously placed to cover the shame. When she finally lets herself feel her emotions, it crashes down in waves, crushing her, suffocating her.
