“I think I like the smart ones, but with a spicy edge,” Chishiya replied and looked at Niragi, raising one eyebrow. “What about you?”

“Blondes,” he grumbled. Chishiya's grin grew wider.

    “We can work with that.”

    Summary

Chishiya threw his head back as Niragi sunk his teeth into his neck below the ear, and groaned loudly. The draconids flashed before his eyes, and it felt absurdly good.

"You're a dog, Niragi," he muttered incoherently, but Niragi still slowed, listening to his voice. "You're a dog, you're like a celestial dog, a big dog, no, no, a little one. Sirius is too bright for you anyway. You're just Procyon. You're a puppy."

    Summary

With only the face cards remaining, Chishiya and Niragi navigate what their arrangement looks like outside the relative safety of the Beach. They find themselves falling dangerously close to the most real thing they've ever experienced.

Meanwhile the others think that Chishiya has actually lost his mind at his insistence on keeping Niragi around. He can't exactly explain the true nature of their relationship, and his evasiveness breeds distrust.
