OR: Author couldn't understand why no one in this SMP played someone from the church. And with so many allusions to religion in the story and no one there to capitalize on its thematic potential I just... couldn't get this out of my head. “No, someone we don’t know,” Avid said, and now Legundo could see the genuine worry in Avid’s eyes. “Pearl and Pyro ran into him when they were on their way to town— over by the tower, in the middle of the lake,” and already that seemed so long ago, although it was only the day before. “He was cutting down the tree, and uh. I don’t know, isn’t that weird?” Avid asked, his voice pitching up plaintively on the end under Legundo’s silent regard.

Sam didn't have to feel so gangly and hulking and awkward, buried in his own broad shoulders. It was possible to slip out of his masculine costume and feel smooth, lithe and beautiful. He didn’t do it often, and he certainly never transformed completely—it was impossible to notice that a bra stuffed with gym socks didn't sit on his chest the same way as actual breasts—but for a few stolen hours at a time, Sam had felt whole.
But Sam didn’t own a bra anymore. It burned in the fire.
