    Sister Winifred and Delia nurse an elderly lesbian couple, and both struggle in different ways. Sister Winifred struggles between her duty as a nurse and her conviction as a nun, while Delia desperately wants to live as openly as her patients do, but thinks Patsy is too frightened.
    Meanwhile, the sister of Dr. Turner's first wife comes to stay with the Turners, and makes clear that she does not approve of her brother-in-law's new family.
