Summary
Kiyoomi’s family was pretty traditional. They forced him to be the perfect little young man and he didn’t really question it at the time.
“Kiyo? Do you… Want me to paint your nails?”
He looked up with wide sparkling eyes, “Isn’t it… Girly?”
"Why should only one gender be able to paint them?”
Their father’s voice sounded loud and domineering that day. The shame of what he liked followed him until the day he sat on the ground next to Atsumu and they painted their nails together.
There was no shame; no fear here.
He was safe. He never had to worry around Atsumu.

Atsumu felt a pit in his stomach. He heard his boyfriend of just over a month crystal clear. Kiyoomi wouldn't like him as he is, he doesn't have what he needs...
He pulled out the little doll his grandmother gave him months before her passing and held it close to his heart. He held it tightly and made a wish before allowing himself to drift off to sleep–trying to ward off the words he heard earlier in the night.
