When Caine somehow concludes that Pomni must be in love with Jax, he enthusiastically tries to set the two of them up. With her suspicions of Caine only growing, Pomni decides that the best course of action would be to play into Caine's fantasy. Plus… Wouldn't it be kind of fun?

"Well, then what was all that? Was it supposed to be some weird, special event he roped you into or…?" Zooble asked.
"N-No, it's that— I mean, Caine was right."
Ragatha looked befuddled, "Um… Right about what…?"
"Right that—That we're in a relationship. I am, I mean— with Jax."

Summary
The circus crew wants one thing desperately-- that is, besides going home. They want to be human, feel human. Caine, after blundering in his attempts to appease them with an escape-themed adventure, decides to make it up to them with an extra special surprise.
How will they adjust to this big change? Will existential dread consume Jax? Can Ragatha take a hint? Will Gangle and Zooble stop endlessly flirting? Can Pomni find her place in this confusing world? And.. will Jax stop looking at her when he thinks she isn't looking?

Jude Duarte doesn’t have friends. She has her twin, her books, her treehouse, and an unshakable determination to punch anyone who makes Taryn cry. That’s enough. It should be enough.

It’s a title she intends to hold onto for years to come, even if the blood running through her veins will expire long before Cardan reaches his middle age.
But despite being crowned with the power she had dreamed of her whole life, there are some parts of her that can’t seem to leave. She might be a queen, but she can still feel pain. There are days where power can’t chase it away.
