She’d never missed someone like this before. Her brother was by her side nearly constantly prior to her time in Teyvat. Now, with his association with the abyss, she obviously missed him, but in a much different way.
It was different in the way she wanted to come home and share her day with him while they cooked dinner together, different in the way she wanted to know what he thought about what was going on in the world while their legs were tangled together in bed. Different in the way she thought of him whenever something amusing happened during her commissions, different in the way she wanted to see the way his eyes lit up when he told her stories about his siblings back home.
It was a much, much different way.

Summary
Out of the two of them, she’s not sure who wins when it comes to lack of sleep.
It’s better when they’re together, by far, but some nights they’re thankful to get a few hours. Some nights they’ll curl into each other and stare blankly at the ceiling until their bodies pass out from sheer exhaustion.
Some nights they’re not even that lucky.
And that’s how Nancy finds herself in Jonathan’s t-shirt, riding shotgun in his Ford at two in the morning.

She just wanted more.
Lumine's heart was in her throat as she felt his breath on her lips, his intense indigo gaze boring into her golden ones, body trembling with need. She could feel the tension between them reaching a breaking point, and she knew that in this moment, nothing mattered except for the two of them and the attraction that was pulling them together like a magnet.
Not his identity, nor the consequences—just them right now.
