Summary
Matt thought he was kidding, but he did move. He clumsily took his pants off without standing and he got under the covers, leaving enough room for Matt. Matt felt like his blood was carbonated. He got up and turned off his desk lamp. This was happening. He carefully crawled over Jay, got under the covers. He faced the wall. Behind him he felt Jay roll onto his side, facing Matt, breath dampening the back of his shirt. Jay pushed his forehead between Matt's shoulder blades.
"Night, MJ," Jay mumbled, half-asleep and still slightly drunk.
"Night, Bird," Matt whispered. He burned where Jay touched him, felt it radiate through his chest. This was all completely normal. Jay was his best friend. He could still come back from this.

Summary
Hamzah takes his keys out of his pocket but doesn’t unlock the door, instead he leans his back on the driver’s side door, head tilted up to look at the trees. Martin, unsure of what to do, stops and glances up towards the trees, then down again at Hamzah. Sensing Hamzah isn’t ready to go home, he moves to lean against the car door as well.
They stand like that for a minute or two until Hamzah finally speaks.
“Sorry. For what I said earlier, that was kind of a lot. I mean it though. But don’t make it weird.”

Summary
The silence drags on, but it doesn’t feel awkward. Almost… expected. Honestly, Martin’s surprised it’s taken them so long to be this cavalier about it. It, this, their weird thing, whatever it is. Their genuine closeness, true friendship, usually nothing more, except when it is. They’ve never seriously talked about their relationship further, even with the amount of jokes they make, their viewers make, their friends, even Mandy makes. It’s not as if it was always there, but it’s something that recently seems to be simmering just below the surface. Now it’s boiling over.
