“What?” Tim rolled over, rubbing the bleariness out of his eyes to see Hawk better. He blinked hard, trying to follow the motion of Hawk’s lips, but his vision was next to nothing without his glasses. “I didn’t hear you.”
“Christ, you need a hearing aid.”
“I do not. You need hearing aids,” Tim shot back, sitting up in the bed. He knew what Hawk’s response was going to be before he even said it, and he didn’t need to actually hear him, either.
“I have hearing aids. I just don’t use them.”
