Summary
TK looks up at the court as he lowers the goblet, shame-faced, and mumbles, “It’s fine.”
His father huffs in annoyance, but Carlos can only feel grateful that TK is alive; he doesn’t understand the worried look still on Tommy’s face until he remembers that Tyson won’t let this insult slide.
He barely has time to think on it, however, before TK suddenly coughs and his hand flies to his throat. His face is screwed up in pain, rapidly turning red as he gasps and chokes; his terrified eyes lock onto Carlos’s for one brief, desperate second before they roll back in his head and TK collapses, the goblet landing on the flagstones with a deafening clatter.

"What happened between us," TK said slowly, putting his fork down and lacing his fingers together to keep his hands from shaking. "You mean the fact that you cheated on me and chose to tell me that right after I proposed to you?"

The next second, there was an explosion. His ears were ringing, heart pounding wildly as glass shattered and they all dropped to the ground for cover. All except Carlos that is, who'd stumbled back into his car and was now staring at the house that was up in flames, a blank look on his face. He didn't seem to comprehend what had just happened.
Daniel scrambled up, ignoring the twinge of pain in his leg. "Carlos," he said softly, but recieved no answer. He repeated it again, and again, until he managed to tar his eyes away from the fire and looked at him. "Carlos, breathe."
He did, and with that first breath he took, he crumbled.
Daniel was no stranger to fear, or pain, or grief, but there was something about the raw nature of Carlos', and the sheer magnitude, that was so devastating he found himself unable to do a single thing.
Carlos fell to his knees, screamed his love's name until he was unable to, and all the while, Daniel could do nothing but watch.

TK Strand sits in an uncomfortable metal chair, bloody hands handcuffed to a metal table, in an NYPD interrogation room.
He keeps his eyes on his reflection- haggard and messy and terrified- in an effort to keep from looking down. It doesn’t work. The sight of his blood-stained hands brings with it the images of the scared boy he's failed to save, and it makes him want to throw up.

Instead of calling for help, they phone Person A and carry on a casual conversation as if nothing is wrong, making sure to mention how much they love them before their time runs out.

He remembers quiet humming and gentle caresses lulling him to sleep. “Yeah. He does.” But TK has never known Carlos to sing publicly, so – “I’m not sure what this is about, though.”
Nancy can take a guess. She knows TK hasn’t replied to any of Carlos’s texts or returned his calls, so she figures Carlos has chosen a different way to communicate with the stubborn little shit sitting beside her.
