She’d insisted on a dress by a muggle designer, of course. She’d piled magazines on his (their) bed and nattered on, flipping through them while he kissed down her naked spine. He also gave each dress equal consideration because he was in control of all of this.
Hermione had been excited. Too excited. A lonely little girl who could now have the wedding of her dreams tearing out of his witch’s practical and pragmatic skin.
This was happening.

“Just…don’t move.”
She said it as a plea, a hollow murmur escaping her lips as she stared in despair, entirely transfixed by the fresh cut along the inside of his palm.
Dark, glistening red, wet and salty and dribbling obscenely down his forearm as he held it out to her.
“Go on, Granger,” he cooed, goading her. “Have a little taste. I won’t bite.”
She glanced up at him sharply, her heart racing at the sudden, wolfish grin on his lips. “Malfoy, you know I—”
“How else will you know for sure?” he asked, taking a step closer. Blood dripped down, staining the top of her foot through the strap of her black stiletto heel. “You were bitten over a month ago.”
“But I’ve exhibited no symptoms!”
“You’re sickly pale and you can’t stand the sunlight.”
“I have sensitive skin.”
“Your teeth have grown…sharper.”
“You could have hexed them, for all I know.” She said shakily, helplessly, her eyes on the constant drips of blood at her feet. “It wouldn’t be the first time.”
“And you can’t seem to stop fantasising about blood.” He stepped closer, his stained fingertips grazing her elbow, her arm held stiffly at her side. “My blood, Granger.”

His eyes snap to hers. Fuck. He’d imagined it, fantasised over hearing his name fall from her lips in a variety of different ways. Somehow, even in anger, hearing it is better than anything he’d dreamt up.
