Gossip of a cursed video, one that after watching, you'd be marked with the fate of dying seven days later.
In Izu, that's where Utahime said they'd watched it, on a spontaneous trip, where they'd all holed up in a cozy little cabin—all without Satoru. “We are not postponing our vacation just because you suddenly have a business trip.” She had told him over the phone; it was hardly a vacation, he thought, two days wouldn't be nearly long enough for him.
Well, nobody had died yet. Then again, it'd only been five days since they allegedly watched this cursed tape.
And as previously mentioned—it’s only a rumor. Probably.
He’d left it at that, without a second thought or any particularly strong concerns.
Then, two days later, he gets the call.

Satoru's friends die after watching a cursed tape and he goes on a mission to stop it from happening again.

Really, it’s Gojo’s fault for leaving the movie in the pile. Or Gojo’s fault for leaving Megumi in the dark. Or Gojo’s fault for even leaving Yuuji’s phone here in the first place.
Either way, after a ring or two, Megumi’s face is on his phone looking pale as a sheet and mildly horrified.
“What’s the face for?” Yuuji frowns, sniffling a bit as he keeps his energy flowing into the cursed doll to the side. For real, what does Megumi have to be all worked up over right now? Yuuji is the one who was just emotionally scarred.
“How are you… Itadori how the fuck are you alive?”

Satoru has been in love with Suguru for so many years that it border on pathetic, like come on dude, flirting with him and buying him drinks isn't exactly the way to go for a huge love confession. Luckily for him, a heated sparring match does the heavy lifting for him and before he knows it he's in Suguru's bedroom. Crazy how these things work.
