At least I have a credible witness this time around,” and Patricia thinks of Kris and her little posse with all the sticks up their asses, and she speeds up the car. Not even on purpose, really; she slows down immediately when Tom lurches forward. He glares at her.
“I believe you,” he says emphatically. Patricia sizes him up. He seems to mean it. “Don't take it out on the car.”
“Sorry.”
or: Tom and Patricia hang out after work. There's a lot of catching up to be done.
