They'd finally arrived back home from the Great Hall after the mess of the second test, and the scabbed line on Agott’s arm still hadn't faded.
Of course it hadn't. It hadn't happened that long ago, even though it felt like an eternity had passed. And it was rather deep. And there was a singular drop of ink that had caught in the wound. And she wouldn't let it heal. She'd developed an unfortunate habit–she'd rub at the raised scab absent-mindedly, and then pick at it when she was tense. She scratched at the splotch of ink in particular, as though she could dredge it from her skin.

The Alpha turned, still holding her wrist in his vice grip. “Olruggio! I hadn’t realized that you were in town.”
“Get away from her” his voice was thick with an anger Coco hadn’t heard from him before. Even when he was deciding whether or not to sentence her to the Knights, he had not sounded this angry. His scent had not been so full of rage-protect-attack to the point where it was nearly all she could smell.
Or: Coco is struggling to fit into the athelier, convinced that while she may be Qifrey's student she's not part of his pack. A trip to Kalhn may be just the thing she needs to prove her wrong

He looks down at Qifrey. His mouth is slightly parted, a damp spot under his face betraying that he’d been drooling. White hair makes his already pale complexion look even lighter, like moonlight itself.
He whispers an apology, quiet enough to not be heard by any prying ears. “I hope you manage to forgive me.”
Unlike this boy, is left unsaid, unlike the first.
He has lost one already. He refuses to lose him again — and he refuses to lose another.
Or, the Silverwood is removed at the castle, by the King. Qifrey is dumped with Beldaruit.

The thought leaves him with a hiss, not through mouth but through skin, the high-pitched screech of boiling water meeting flesh, followed by his own wail as his arm erupts in pain.
And Olruggio of the Torch burns.
