Summary
Hyunjin lets his eyes fall closed, inhaling deeply to attempt to calm himself. He doesn’t need the oxygen—his lungs have long since stopped requiring it—but when he’s stressed, he finds himself repeating the same centering techniques he’d used in his own human years.
“Tell me,” Hyunjin grits between his teeth, eyes still closed as Jeongin whimpers, “that you did not imprint on a fucking wolf, Jeongin.”
A pathetic whine answers him, and Hyunjin shoves his hand away, pushing hard enough on Jeongin’s neck that he stumbles backward. Hyunjin’s eyes open as his fledgling falls, landing on his knees with a dull thud.

"Hyung?" Chan whispers, voice shot. At least he's himself again. "What's wrong?"

"What?" Chan sits up and winces. "Hyung, talk to me. Are you okay? What's—"
"Are you okay?" Brian asks, hollow. "Do you feel weird? Are you hurt? Are you okay?"

Brian takes control of his breathing to keep himself from breaking down. "Channie, close your eyes, okay?"
"Okay." Obedient as ever.
Brian slowly pulls his fist out again. Only slightly, just enough to watch it happen.
