What Merlin said, how stunning he looked while he said it, that Arthur wanted to kiss him right there and why he couldn't (his duty to Camelot but mainly the fear of forcing Merlin into something)
And while he gushes about his manservant, ignoring his sister that look like she wants him to shut up, said manservant was hiding behind the screen in Morgana's room, because Arthur just interrupted their magic lesson.

AU where Arthur has a twin sister, Artesia. Merlin is a knight in Camelot and magic is no longer out-lawed.
“Merls, I see how you two look at each other” Gwaine exclaimed “For fucks sake!”
“We do not look at each other in any way” Merlin replied flustered.
“Oh, come off it, Merls. During training today, you looked like you wanted to be a damsel in distress just so that your knight in shining armor could save you!” Gwaine joked, laughing at Merlin’s fluster.
“I did not,” Merlin laughed, blushing. A detail that didn’t go unnoticed by Gwaine.
“You did! Oh I bet. Your crush on the princess is embarrassing” Merlin threw something at Gwaine, making him laugh even louder.
“Shut it! someone is going to hear you” Merlin said while Gwaine kept laughing.
He didn’t deny his crush. Arthur frowned with a knot on his throat and he walked away. He should have known better than letting himself hope. A new day awakened and Arthur decided to put Merlin and Artesia out of his mind. He really hoped that in some way that he misinterpreted all the situation someway but clearly not.

Merlin is court sorcerer, but having that role means he isn't Arthur's manservant anymore, and Merlin misses it. Not all of it, obviously, but the domestic bits, like waking him up every morning and wishing him a good sleep every night.

Arthur doesn’t breathe.
Because he knows. He knows that Merlin means it, knows this isn’t a question for reassurance. It’s a confession of fear. And it breaks something in him to know why Merlin is asking.
Arthur turns his whole body to face him. Looks him in the eye.
“No,” he says, with the certainty of the sun rising — not questioned, not earned, just as a fact.
Merlin swallows.
