Beethoven has never been good with change. Or maybe, change has never been good to Beethoven. Either way, he doesn't know why this time is almost different. He's not sure why everyone else suddenly seems like as much of a mess as he is.
CB just wants to make things better. That's all he's ever wanted to do. He doesn't think he's ever succeeded at that- but he's determined to change that. Somehow.

Fix-it fic for DSG because I will not allow myself to accept such a depressing ending as canon, so instead I made it depressing BUT everyone lives, which isn't much better but it's about the most I can manage with the source material.
