It dawned on her as she rolled her checked bag into the Uber from her own apartment that she was truly going on vacation and that she could maybe take a deep breath for a few days. She knew there was no real reason to worry about the kitchen. Carmy was just as great as she was. Tina was not too far behind them and quickly catching up. Natalie and Richie would collectively kill him if he fucked up anything in the meantime.
Emmanuel had recently been cleared with a clean bill of health and if he hadn’t insisted on needing a break from her micromanaging his every move, he would have been on this trip with her. Chantel wrangled her into trying boho knotless braids for once. She did think they were actually pretty, although she would never admit that to Chantel. So for all intents and purposes Sydney was fine and ready to go. It was just a matter of getting there and getting settled.
