Summary
He wasn't running away, that wasn't what this was.
The move to the mansion was a fresh start, something new and exciting, and III needed that. Change wasn't a bad thing; he truly believed that it was a necessary part of life.
His new roommates, however, seemed to see the concept of change as this daunting prophecy of doom. It chased them out of rooms, lured out suspicious comments, attracted weary eyes, and generally caused an uneasy ripple in whatever calm waters they had been living in before his arrival.
III was beginning to think he was the daunting prophecy of doom.
That was all fine though, they'd learn how to live with one another somehow. With time, maybe some arguments, or a few more painfully awkward meals, and they'd be a wonderfully content household.
They had to be, because III wasn't going back, funky masks and trippy dreams be damned.

Summary
II arrived at the start of the winter months.
It was nothing grand, just as the winds were slight and refreshing and not yet piercing, II’s presence settled in like a whisper. While he and his new roommate were brought together by divine means, coexisting did not come easily. One had become used to living alone, a solitary existence with a routine that consisted of just himself. The other was left reeling and restless, left to figure things out with no aid nor grace and with mounting confusion. The prophetic dreams had ceased, the ominous deity only complicated things, and the facelessness of his cohabitant left a strange feeling in his gut.
Vessel was his name, the first, and II was sure the man hated him.
