It had been twenty years since you last saw your husband.
You had remained in your kingdom to rule in your husband’s place while he was fighting. His younger brother, Prince Papyrus, had been a massive help to you in ruling. While Papyrus had handled the diplomatic issues, you took care of the kingdom.
After news of the ensuing war reached your home shores, hope echoed through the castle's halls.
Papyrus and you had excitedly prepared the castle for your husband’s return. Flowers were planted in the gardens and once bloomed, potted and hung in hallways. The kitchens were instructed to gather the most valuable delicacies for the feast.
Yet, as news of other warriors returning to their own home shores spread, he didn’t return. You waited and waited. Nothing. No news from him or of his men.
