Summary
After taking in the rest of the scene, Caleb could glean the Martinet’s general intentions: bringing a beautiful affiliate to the Lavish Chateau, a well-known rendezvous point of the Mighty Nein, amidst the peak of their investigation against Trent Ikithon, and by extension, the greater membership of the assembly?
The man means to boldly plant a spy in their midst.
After the arrest of Trent Ikithon, Ludinus Da'leth arrives at the Lavish Chateau, bringing along with him an unfamiliar elf who claims to be a victim of a Dynasty attack. The Mighty Nein is sceptical of the elf's intentions and begins to dig into his story, uncovering pieces of information that don't quite add up. Unfortunately for Caleb, he can't quite help but be charmed by Desran Thaine, despite his mysterious circumstances. Of course, it's never wise to fall for a professional courtesan.

Summary
The events that took place in the Happy Funball have shaken Caleb and Essek's relationship to its core, and perhaps brought to light some strains that had been present for some time. Caleb has been pining for something but Essek just can't figure out what. Can they work it out or will Caleb finally make good on his decade long promise to someday just be Essek's good friend. Not if Essek has anything to say about it.
My take on Caleb and Essek's experience post-Projekt Funball, but will also explore the couple months that follow and then the state of their relationship Post-Darktow.
