Summary
This was supposed to be revenge, revenge for fucking up his life, his family, for killing his father and leaving him out there, alone in the dark. It’s supposed to make him feel better, but instead he’s just a little bit closer to breaking than he was before and Jim Kirk just doesn’t break, at least not in the company of others.

“I – no? What the hell, no.” He levels a glare at Scott. “And dog jokes aren’t funny.”

Utter perfection...this is how things will be in my headcanon from now on!
Extremely well written charatcer study on how Derek relates to all his pack memebers, set in the not to far ahead future.
The thing I liked best was the fact that while Derek cared about all these people, they actually take care of him and he lets them. -
