It sounded like Ilya took in a deep breath before he said, “You had an accident. Hit your head. Got another concussion.”
“What was the accident?”
At the cottage with Ilya, Shane has an accident that means he can’t play in the upcoming season. While staying at Ilya’s house in Boston, he has to figure out who the fuck he is without the game, and navigate the unexpected emotions he feels as Ilya continues thriving. Plus, the strain of keeping their relationship secret while living together only adds to the pressure.

"You are back," Ilya says and apparently Shane's that pathetic, because he has to press his lips together to hide his smile, feeling way happier than he ought to just because Ilya apparently remembers him. "Miss me already?"
______________When Shane agrees to do Hayden a favor and picks up his friend's car from the shop, he doesn't expect the guy working there to look like that, quite literally straight out of Shane's fantasies. Too bad he probably won't see him again.
Or so he thought. His car breaks down a week later and Shane goes back to the shop with a plan. Sort of.
