Perhaps in a later retrospective, Gale can admit that he could have phrased his request for help more eloquently. Asked for help in a way that quite literally anyone listening would be able to understand, no further questions necessary. But when a man had just been plucked from his comfortable tower in Waterdeep, received a guest most unwelcome in the ocular region, and then found oneself free falling out of a Nautiloid ship... Well, mayhaps the correct phrasing of words did not fall into his most immediate concerns.
But even after all of the surprises from today, and by Mystra’s will there seem to be plenty, the biggest one seems to be the sudden and painful contact he meets with some stranger’s hand. Out of all the scenarios he had laid out in his head when figuring out how to escape the sigil’s release, being harshly slapped by someone before even seeing their face or hearing their voice was not one of them. Shockingly.
