Nagisa blinked slowly at the two girls, before he shook his head. No, that wouldn’t work. It was simply an impossible task. “If Karma doesn’t want to get up himself he won’t get up at all.”
He watched Nakamura roll her eyes, a huff of laughter escaping her lips. “Yeah, whatever,” she said, an unreadable expression on her face as she looked at him. “Just tell him to be a little quieter will you? We’re working on important business over here.”
Nagisa mumbled out a ‘sure’, glancing back at his redheaded friend, poking him in the side. That'd have to do, it’s not like he could just transport into Karma's dreams and tell him to shut up. Miraculously though, it seemed to work. Karma’s head shifted, the angle seemingly making him quieter.

Class 3-E goes on a school trip, Nagisa is cold, Karma is oblivious, and everyone else is over the two's shit.

"This trip will be good for me," Shuichi tells himself, voice cracking from not having used it yet that morning. Today was going to be a good day, and if it wasn't, then he still had three months of good days to have.
This trip will be good for him. He'll make sure of it if it’s the last thing he does.

He glanced at the gaudy yellow, red, and blue coloring of the store and the glowing ‘Open 24/7’ sign. He remembered stopping in there sometimes when he was coming back from visiting his Aunt and Uncle. They were more or less good memories since the store always seemed to be in stock with whatever he wanted. Whether that says that they didn’t get many customers or they frequently get bought out and had to restock he didn’t know.

Taking a deep and shaking breath in, Maki turned to the side and the site that caught her eyes made her blood run cold. A few feet from her and wobbling on his feet the slightest bit, Kokichi Ouma stood, crying. She hadn’t even heard him, and from the looks of it, nobody else had noticed yet. His hands were clenched into fists at his side, and almost definitely his nails were drawing blood, or at least close to. His chest was heaving rapidly causing his entire frame to shake violently. Maki believed this could all be chalked up to anger, pure and unbridled until she took a look at his face. Ouma’s cheeks were red and wet, large tears rolling down and off his face from his swollen eyes.

The first time Atsushi died, he was only five.
He doesn’t remember it, much how he doesn’t remember much of anything before the orphanage, but he remembers how it felt. The searing pain that burned into his abdomen, much worse than the pain that was already present on every other part of his body, and the white that faded into the corners of his vision, into the black of his already closed eyelids.

Atsushi must think this is a trade of insults, but Akutagawa will not let him talk.
“You are physically painful to be around,” he grits through his teeth. “You are both so otherworldly and so stupid I conclude you must be pretending, lying to me about what you are as a part of some sick game, and yet when you open your mouth everything you say is so trite and disgustingly genuine, so I cannot, no matter how much I try, believe you are malicious.”
