He simply found a line I hadn't seen, went in through there, and when I realized it, he was already ahead.” There was a small smile on his father's lips, but compared to the one when he talked about Senna, this one looked more bitter. “That's how Prost was. He wasn't the fastest; your mother will tell you that, she always preferred Prost over Senna, which says a lot about the two of us.”
Ryul smiled slightly at the last comment, "what does it say?"
“That your mother is smarter than me,” he said without drama.

Summary
"What are you going to do after the season?" Ohyul asked, with no particular agenda in mind.
"Rest for a week," he said, "first Abu Dhabi, win the championship, and then the end-of-season gala." Ryul sounded completely sure that the championship would be his, which shouldn't have surprised Ohyul, what athlete doesn't trust in their own abilities? "I was thinking about buying something here in Monaco, a bigger place. This apartment is getting a little small."
Ohyul processed that, "bigger than this?"
"This was temporary," Ryul made a vague gesture toward the apartment, "I rented it when I joined the team because it was the easiest option, but if I'm going to stay in Monaco long-term, it makes sense to have something of my own."
"Long-term."
Or; Ohyul discovers a little more about Ryul's past relationships, Jaemin still haunts the narrative somehow, and it all comes down to a decision they should have made from the beginning.

Summary
“He’s an actor, I imagine you already know that.”
He wasn’t being cooperative, but instead of getting stressed, as Ohyul expected to happen, Ryul simply spoke again in that calm voice.
“I know that, he’s not as active as before, but I guess my question should have been more explicit. Who is Jaemin to you?”
“He was someone from when I was starting out.”
“Someone important?”
And that’s the complicated thing. Jaemin had been important. The 17-year-old Ohyul would have moved heaven and earth for that man, the 18-year-old Ohyul would have fallen apart just hearing that name, but for the 28-year-old Ohyul who was lying on that sofa in a London apartment next to a man he wasn’t sure what to feel. For that Ohyul, Jaemin was nothing more than a stain he would never be able to get rid of no matter how much he scrubbed.
“It depends.”
Or; Ohyul is starting to feel things he doesn't want to, and Ryul is simply a great enigma.

“What?” Oscar asks. “You’re not serious?”
“Um, yeah I am, mate,” Lando says. “C’mon. It’s not like we can erase the kiss from anyone’s mind or socials. And I don’t want Zak to think you’re like playing mind games with me. I mean, you’re not right?”
“No,” Oscar exclaims, shaking his head. “Of course not.”
“Then, we might as well just lean in, right?” Lando says. “You’d look crazy if we just pretended it was some weird accident.”
Well, Oscar probably is for kissing his teammate like that.

Oscar kisses Lando on the podium in front of the whole world. Which might be ok if they were dating. But they're not. Not even close. So now, they have to pretend to date to save both of their careers from Oscar's lapse in judgment. This means cute insta posts, joint interviews, the occasional public date, and shared hotel room.
It certainly doesn't mean exploring his newfound sexuality with his teammate. Or getting to know him on a deeper level. Or falling in love with him. All while leading the championship. Again.

The soft, rounded features are gone and his face is suddenly all angles, like a knife being tilted a multitude of different ways to mimic a human face. Even his lips appear to be one blunt razor.
‘Yeah,’ Marc murmurs. His gaze is locked with Valentino’s, and he nods. ‘Yeah, I think I can.’

Summary
Marc Marquez may be the most hexed rider of all time.
That's what Vale thinks, anyway. It was him who was all but coated in the little pieces of magic, harmless as those ones may have been, in the early parts of his career. It was him who was hit by that vicious one in 2020, the one that led to the current regulations and protections in place.
So when Luca tells Vale that Marc has been hexed once more, he really isn't too worried. Even when he hears how bad this one is, leagues worse than the one from 2020. He has no intention of going near Marc anyway, and he doesn't even tolerate the man, so really he doesn't care. It has nothing to do with him.
