“We will be climbing down and then up,” Damian decides, given the evidence.
“No, Damian,” she says, and starts off walking, forcing him to come after her as the rope tugs taut. He chews on his lip behind his gator, cringing and trapped by his mistake. Survivalist exercise? Or maybe navigation? Some sort of test? He can’t afford to be wrong again.
“There shouldn’t be any crevasses,” Ommi says into the silence, “but if I start to fall, cut your rope immediately. Understood?”
“Then I can’t stop your fall,” he argues. She gives him a look, just the briefest glance over her shoulder. “Understood.” They crunch on for a minute. “I could rescue you, Ommi.”
“No.” The word clouds the air, just briefly. “You will preserve your own life only. You should think of saving your breath, it’s a long way down.”
That’s not an order, however, so he’s free to push. “We are leaving the compound.” She doesn’t reply. Damian squirms for a moment, trying to find a way to ask that requires no question at all. “We have a destination already in mind.”
“Yes,” Ommi says, finally. “Gotham.”

With all the political unrest from Agahnim's reign, tourists to Hyrule are scarce– and yet, here are one, two, three, four… nine strangers all walking together along the trail. Armed. He has to strain his ears, but he can just manage to catch their voices from this distance.
“...We don’t even know where it’ll be.”
“It seems like there’s going to be somewhere indoors we can stay this time, though."
“And with any luck, the Vet will get us in the castle.”
Link bristles. The castle? The one in the scarf is saying something about an audience with the princess, but Link’s not about to let this slide. The knights are in no state to be protecting her right now, and Link’s not half bad with a sword himself.
If there’s anyone who’s gonna stop them, it’s me!Without thinking past that he leaps out of his hiding place, squarely blocking their path and leveling his blade.
“What do you want with the princess?” he demands.

“What do you think you’d be doin’, if you weren’t a Hero?” Warriors asks him, laying the question out before him and the stars and the fire that crackles.

“I don’t know,” he blurts, unhelpfully. It’s a lame answer to a loaded question, but he can’t find it in him to even say the word travel; it leaves something bitter at the back of his tongue, something heavy in his gut. Some part of him worries, immensely, about what that means.
The question goes unanswered, really, even in his head. And it haunts him for months.

Espio worked quietly, steady, reliable, with the precision of someone who had done this before. And Vector, for all his boisterousness, was at least pretending not to pay too much attention, letting the atmosphere settle into something resembling normalcy.
Silver sighed, let his shoulders relax by increments.
Maybe, just for a little while, he could stay.

[Lights up on an office. Large mahogany desk, chair that swivels, a carpet that toes the line of comfortable and fancy. It is part biblical confessional, part reality TV confessional. Appearance wise, though, it resembles your run-of-the-mill political office.]
[Sitting in the chair that swivels is JSCHLATT. PRESIDENT JSCHLATT, to be clear about it. He looks almost exactly the same as he does in the large portrait of him on the back wall. In Schlatt’s dominant hand is a whiskey glass. With the other, he taps the large microphone that sits on top of the mahogany desk.

Summary
As Master King predicted, Sonic loses all of his Cyber powers after the final battle with Supreme. What he didn’t predict, though, was that a small part of his Cyber corruption would remain. The only feasible cure is, predictably, the Chaos Emeralds—all of them.
With his friends off on their own adventures, Sonic must search for the Chaos Emeralds alone. In the meantime, he finds himself growing closer to Shadow, of all people. As Shadow becomes an increasingly prominent figure in his life, Sonic realizes that his feelings for his rival-turned-friend go far beyond what he once thought.
He resolves to push those feelings aside until after he has all the Chaos Emeralds, but as his condition progresses, he finds himself forced to ask for Shadow's help. Working off of flimsy leads from Rouge and the Chaotix Detective Agency, Sonic and Shadow are caught in a race against time.
Will they be able to find all the Chaos Emeralds before Sonic's corruption passes the point of no return?

He knows he's not a Kokiri.
He's been in the forest as long as he can remember; they've been in the forest as long as they can remember. He can run through the trees, get lost in the mist for days at a time while eating the little mushrooms and berries he finds along the way, wandering his way home eventually, same as them. He loves the sun and cannot eat meat or tell a lie, and the fairies flock to him the way they do the others. And if he asks them, he is no different.
He has no fairy. It hurts, sometimes, to know.

The Hylians will send out an expedition to rid the land of monsters. And, in an uncharacteristic show of wisdom, they have requested a Rito escort so they don’t blunder into a crevice and freeze to death.
Any Rito would be capable of leading them through Hebra, so of course, they have asked for Master Revali specifically. And to add insult to injury, the little chosen knight just had to come along.
The Hylian army can't handle a couple Lizalfos. For some reason, they have decided to make this Revali's problem.

But the harder Warriors works to protect his family, the more the secrets of his dark past come to life. Who is Captain Link Walton, the Hero of Warriors? What happened to the two other heroes he had once fought alongside all those years ago?
When this is over, will Warriors even have a family left to save or is he doomed to repeat his past mistakes?
