Summary
"We're not so different, you and I."
But they were different. Columbina was serene where Sandrone was anxious. Graceful where Sandrone was awkward. She baked perfect pastries at dawn and said profound things about sunsets and somehow made Sandrone's antisocial cat into a devoted admirer.
And yet there was something in the way Columbina moved through the world—like she was slightly apart from it, watching rather than participating—that Sandrone recognized in herself.
or;
Columbina is an angel, and Sandrone is fated to die in a year.

Nick and Judy having sex was an accident. Nick and Judy falling in love was even more an accident. And as long as she repressed her emotions enough, Judy was pretty certain that she could pretend that neither of them had ever happened.

The last thing Mu Qing needed was any part of him lusting after his best friend’s soon-to-be married best friend.
Which, of course, was exactly what was destined to happen when Mu Qing and Feng Xin meet each other for the first time at Feng Xin's wedding to Jian Lan.

Summary
Mu Qing’s name stares at him from the bright screen. Below lies a short profile with the bare necessity of information — age, location, a single sentence about what he’s looking for (not just a fuck). In a normal dating app, this would be enough to prowl the depths of desperate souls within the phone.
And yet, one more box lies empty. What do you hate?
A lot, says one part of Mu Qing’s mind while the other echoes, nothing important.
---
Xie Lian insists Mu Qing try online dating with an app geared towards meeting people who hate similar things. Mu Qing hates Feng Xin. But he doesn't have the app, so it's not like he'll find out.

Summary
“You’re being more amenable than usual,” Ratio says, carefully, warning bells blaring. “Perhaps you should be feverish more often.”
Is Doctor Ratio flirting?
Aventurine should laugh. Any previous thoughts of seeing Doctor Ratio flirt had involved chalk and terrible mathematical pick-up lines. This? Well, it was relatively smooth.
But he doesn’t laugh.
Or, after encountering some strange magic on a mission with Ratio, Aventurine wakes not only with a sister but also the title of "Prince". And apparently he's engaged to Ratio. What luck.
