“Come on,” Bucky pleads as he pulls you closer to him so that your back is pressing into his chest, and his lips brush over the sensitive skin just beneath your ear as he adds, “it’s his birthday.”
“You don’t get to play the ‘it is Steve’s whatever’ card every time you wanna do something stupid,” you warn him, even though you know that he can probably tell his words and touch are starting to melt your all ready crumbling defenses. “But since it’s Steve’s birthday I suppose I can make an exception,” you say with a heavy sigh and an exaggerated roll of your eyes. “What did you have in mind?”
You expect Bucky to suggest that you bake a cake or make some cookies or some other sweet desert. But instead, he smirks down at you with a wicked glint in his eyes.
“Well. . .” He starts, trailing off when the tips of his fingers slip beneath your skirt, brushing the skin of your upper thigh just above your stockings, “you did say you’d make an exception. And I remember you promising you’d do anything I asked before I shipped out as long as I promise to come back in one piece.” His warm breath fans across your ear and his voice is thick with what you think is anticipation. “So I’m gonna go ahead and cash that promise in.”Bookmarked by daffodilslament

You can smell the gin on him before he even opens his mouth, and when his fingers dig into your arm hard enough to hurt, you realize he's been drinking long before you got there.
He slots his face in the crook of your neck and says into your skin, "Dance with me."
"I don't think so."
Bucky takes one of the glasses on the counter, the one that is meant for Steve, and throws it back before wiping his mouth and pushing it across the table so that it nearly flies off the other end. He leans in closer, his voice barely a whisper in your ear, his breath warm on your skin despite the chill in his eyes, "If I can't drink tonight, neither can you. So you either get in there with me and have some fun before I lose it or I leave this fucking pub right now."
Worry finds its way into the pit of your stomach, but you don't say anything, because Bucky's been on edge lately and the last thing you want to do is push him even further over that line he's toeing.
So you dance, your arms looped around his neck, fingers curled in the soft hairs at the base of his skull as he buries his face in your hair, the music too loud and the bodies too close.Or, a collection of domestic one-shots and drabbles :)

The memories of the cold tile of a lab, of blood in a sink, of screams (his or the screams of others? he doesn't know the difference any longer)
"Well. That wasn't quite what I was looking for," you murmur, but your hand doesn't stop stroking his hair and the gentle rhythm of your movements soothes him enough that he can close his eyes. "Bucky," your voice sounds far away, like it's coming from a dream. "I'll be back in a while, okay?"
The hand in his hair stills for a moment and when you bend your head to kiss his forehead the feel of your mouth against his skin makes his head feel heavy and he can't fight the desire to sleep, and when he wakes again he'll know the taste of your tongue against his, and the shape of your mouth.

Sariphi was 15 at the start of book 1, and at the last chapter (a bonus one) it said she had been there for over a year. I believe she is 16, almost 17. But still considered underage, so if that bothers you, you know what to do.

You ignore the sharp jab Karen gives you with her elbow and grip the glass of champagne in front of you tighter. But that doesn't stop some of it slopping onto the white marble floor.
"Look! " She says in what she must think is a whisper, but is loud enough for the few congressmen and women to your left to look in your direction. " Isn't that your ex?" She says as she nods across the room.
You follow the line of her gaze. There, stood by the doorway is your ex, James Buchanan Barnes, or Bucky Barnes to the world at large. It's the first time you've seen him in nearly two months. You try your hardest not to spill any more of the drink on the floor.
"You okay?" She asks, concerned about etching into her face.
You swallow and look up from where you're staring at the drink. "Uh, yeah. Of course, why wouldn't I be?"
She's quiet for a second as she takes in your answer. Then she nods. "You sure, because you know I have that spare bottle of Vodka we can have with some red bull back at the office." She whispers. "No one else needs to know." She gives you a small wink as she says that.
