This feels like a game Mai is losing. Seriously, what is with all these strange comments? “I don’t remember,” she lies. “It was a gift.”
Kugisaki’s smile drops, but only for a split second before she says, “Well, I love the red! Very bold, very sexy.”
This must be a trap. Maybe Kugisaki’s name sounded familiar because she’s friends with Maki, and Maki set this up to make fun of her. She needs to just order something and get the hell away from this girl before she spontaneously combusts.
