Throughout middle school and on into high school, Ann had only managed to deem one person a close friend and her name was Shiho. Expanding her friend group had never come to mind when most of her peers either ignored her or spread rumors about her. Now, as a founding member of the Phantom Thieves, Ann is ready to start tearing down her walls to strengthen her heart, so that she could be someone her friends could rely on.

Deirta Thelyss slowly stepped into the room, letting her eyes roam across the ordered chaos of her son’s old workspace. She stopped before him, her gown pristine, hair precisely braided, and elegant jewelry dangling from her ears. By comparison, Essek was a mess.
Essek left Rosohna for good after whatever good fortune left him alive after the unspeakable events in Aeor. After abandoning his position and choosing a life on the run in hopes of avoiding the consequences looming over his shoulder, Essek finds the time to contemplate what it means to have a family and what to do about the one he left behind.

Summary
In linguistics, a false friend is a word in a different language that sounds similar to a word in your own, but differs significantly in meaning. No word in any Eridian language could possibly be mistaken for English. But Erid absolutely has false friends.
In his right mind, Grace would easily identify the mistaken assumptions inhibiting his integration on Erid. They are:
1: A molecular biologist and a sapient rock can cobble together translation software that reflects the etymological nuance of an entire alien language.
2: Eridians are enough like humans to have an area 51 and look forward to using it.Unfortunately, Grace hasn’t been in his right mind in years.
Or: a ‘Return to Erid’ story where Grace struggles to touch down alone.
