Summary
“I don’t know why they try,” Gorgug muttered when they reached the kitchen. Fabian shrugged, jumping up to sit on the counter while Gorgug took the desert from the oven and scoured for a toothpick.
“You okay?” Gorgug asked. He leaned against the counter next to Fabian now. Fabian blinked himself out of his mind palace and met his eyes with a nod. “Just…reflecting,” he said.
Gorgug raised a brow. “On what?”
Fabian looked down to his lap, and then sighed frustratedly. “I don’t know. Everything, I guess. I’m just…I’m just a little irritated. It’s not a big deal, though, I want to have a good night.”
Fabian looked back to Gorgug and saw that Gorgug hadn’t stopped looking at him. Gorgug seemed to hold every answer to every question in the world close to his heart, but Fabian thought that maybe he could find them in his eyes. Instead Gorgug leaned in and kissed him on the cheek sweetly. “If you say so.” He said.

A few moments of silence passed in which Petyr Baelish gazed over Sansa’s visible figure, and Sansa did not look away from his eyes. At long last, Sansa prodded, “Are you intending to tell me why you called to meet past the hour of the eel? I like to keep a schedule, even with no regular day job.”
Baelish licked his lips, eyes dancing down to the ashen table that separated them. He drummed his fingers over the wood, until he seemed to relent, groan, and rub over the stubble sprouting from his chin. Sansa hadn’t seen Baelish this way in a long while.
“Yes, well, I believe you will have one soon,” Baelish attempted to slight, though Sansa was smarter. “If you take this job.”
“What job?” Sansa found herself asking rather carefully.
“The job that I have asked to meet to discuss with you.” Baelish laid out flat, as if it was obvious, “The lord Baratheon has asked something of specifically our best member, Dove.”

Gorgug awaited the familiar cadence of Fig’s voice again, but it did not come. Instead, the bed creaked as she repositioned herself.
“Gorgug?” Fig started, hesitant and voice laced with concern. She continued, “Are you okay, man? You look a little blue and pale.”
After met with silence again, Fig blinked and asked. “You sick?”Gorgug squeezed his hands into shaky fists, feeling sweat start to pool in his palms. He wasn’t a fan of the feeling, but he supposed that death wasn’t really going to be pleasant either way.

The girl gestured to the absurd sight he’d been trying to avoid. She spoke, “Now that Lucy’s alive again, everyone’s obsessed with her. Even our president.”
Riz laughed and followed her gaze. Lucy seemed loose and open and trusting, which made Riz smile even more considering what the Bad Kids had saved her from.
“I’d be obsessed with someone that cool too.” Riz answered. He fidgeted, tapping the toe of his shoe against the carpet gently.
The girl laughed and took a sip from her can. “I feel like Fabian’s parties are weirdly cool. Like, everyone is cool here,” she said, “even if you aren’t cool at all. I don’t think I’m cool enough for this anyway.”
Riz tilted his head. “Cool enough for Fabian?” He scoffed and added, “That’s not as high a bar as you think it is.”

“Who’s there?” Theobald asked quietly, voice rough with sleep. A paw of his rested upon the hilt of his blade, and Liam wondered whether it was just for show or not. Adults were strange in that way.
Liam answered as he resumed his speed. “Liam,” he supplied succinctly. Theobald instantly eased and turned a head to see the boy as he was joined against the railing.
