Summary
Verso has failed to kick Maelle out of the Canvas and has been existing in the newly painted city of Lumière as the city's famed pianist. In this new life, he's made sure to avoid all of the previous members of the group 33 like the plague, hiding away in his small room at the opera house like a hermit, only coming out every now and then to play for the city.
Until one night, coming back from an after concert party upon Maelle's insistence, he comes face to face with a bone chilling sight during one of his midnight walks involving Gustave. The man he just recently formed an unexpected friendship with as they share their mutual love for trains and locomotives. Maelle's guardian who was the first to have been brought back to life by her. The man that became one of Verso's biggest regrets.
Whether it is out of guilt, curiosity, empathy or genuine likeness for Gustave, Verso decides to aid him with his new predicament, and promises to do everything he can to cure him of the violent hunger that has settled in the brunette's heart. And thus, a bond born from a secret shared between two monsters is made.

In which Verso’s a vampire, the Expedition is over and Gustave finds him in the Lumiére Gardens and makes an offer. Includes mutual pining, blood-drinking and them being completely stupid about each other.

Summary
Verso is convinced that some people aren't meant to heal.

Every day is the same as the last, every step feels heavier than it should, and even the piano which once filled the rooms with music has fallen silent.Then Gustave arrives offering no answers or solutions for a life that keeps slipping through Verso’s fingers. Yet, without realizing it, he teaches him that life doesn't come back all at once.
It returns in small steps.
Because rebirth doesn't begin when you smile again. It begins when someone stops asking you to heal and simply decides to wait for you.
