Summary
Ash has a lot of good memories from his journeys. He also has a lot of bad memories. Sometimes, those bad memories come back to haunt him at bad times.
Kukui knows a panic attack when he sees one. The last person he thought he would ever see have a panic attack was Ash Ketchum. Yet, when Ash was drug out of the water after having almost drowned, that’s exactly what he saw.
Ash never liked to talk much about his past, Kukui knew that, but as Ash’s teacher, it was his duty to figure out the problem and make sure his student was ok.

Summary
Even though she didn't always realize it, Serena tended to put Ash on a pedestal. She knew that he wasn’t perfect, but sometimes, it was hard to remember that.
So when he stepped off that pedestal back in Snowbelle, she said some things that she would soon come to regret. She also pelted him with a few snowballs while she was at it.
Now Serena needed to apologize, beacause even though it all turned out alright in the end, that didn’t excuse her actions.
But why does a simple apology have to be so hard?

“So what you’re telling me is that Ash Ketchum is… gentlemanly?”
“I mean, yeah. I would say so. Most of the time anyway."
May shook her head in disbelief. “Impossible. We must be talking about two different Ash Ketchums with two different Pikachus who both just happen to really like Pokémon battles.”
