Summary

Summary
His arm goes around her waist. His hand finds the bare skin between crop top and skirt, warm and smooth and alive under his palm. He leans down, mouth brushing the shell of her ear, and says, “Wanna dance for a bit?” He smirks when he sees the goosebumps appear on her arms.
He straightens up and looks at her face for the first time. Sharp eyes, a lip ring (very outside San’s comfort zone), and a raised eyebrow that is definitely on a face that is, without question, a man’s face (extremely out of San’s comfort zone.)
San jumps back like he’s touched a live wire. His hand feels like it’s burning.
“What the fuck?”

College athlete San is focused on getting scouted for baseball and pulling off a C in all his classes. He doesn't have time to spiral about why he can never seem to find a girl he's that interested in. At least until he meets Wooyoung, an angry and beautiful man who threatens to shake the very core of San's identity and make him face some painful truth about himself.

Summary
When San's ex-girlfriend Hyejoo has to leave South Korea and go to the U.S. for open-heart surgery, San suddenly finds himself parenting their daughter Mara alone. He is terrified that he will mess this up somehow, that he won’t be enough.
Then his roommate, Jung Wooyoung, offers that they both raise Mara together while Hyejoo is undergoing treatment.
San reasons that this is supposed to be temporary, nothing but a kind offering from Wooyoung to help San get through the hardest months of his life. Yet co-parenting brings to light the feelings San has been burying in the deepest part of his heart, and as he sees how good Wooyoung is to his daughter, he can no longer deny the love he's felt for his lovely roommate all along.

“Why would this happen?”
How no longer matters. It likely wouldn’t make sense, anyway, even if someone did explain. How is pointless. It’s happened, and he’s stuck in this world, this timeline, and there’s nothing he can do about it. San wants to know Why.
As the sun begins to set, the sky explodes into a watercolor painting with the contrast turned all the way up. Vermilion bleeds into magenta and at least three different shades of orange. The clouds burst, shadowed against the colors with sharp edges. San has never seen anything like it.
“I can only think of one reason,” he says quietly, throat sore and voice raw. His lips are dry as he blows out a heavy breath. “What if it’s a second chance?”
