Summary
Gotham is rarely beautiful. Dark and drenched, infested—sure.
But here, with the sun floating downwards in the warm, Spring air, catching sunlight on his skin and lips as the breeze sweeps up his hair to curl around his ears, you hope that maybe Gotham could be kind to someone as beautiful as him. That maybe he could get it through his thick skull that you—some orphanage kid that had met him stealing tires and saving lives—you had found a whole world in his arms.
// four times you accidentally find Jason; one time he finds you.

Summary
You pulled it out, beaming with a huge sigh of relief. "This is it. Take this."
"Er..." Jason flipped it around, contemplative, but you wouldn't let him turn this down too. So, you grabbed his hands and ignored how red both he and you suddenly got at the contact for the sake of him reading it.
"Trust me, don't even think. Just take this and read it. I promise you'll love it."
Or, you register a hunk more nervous than a teenage boy and somehow become the reason he returns.

Summary
"....bad night?" you asked quietly.
He let out a harsh, almost broken laugh. "You could fuckin' say that."
Oh-kay. Well that didn't sound good.
You paused and took a moment to study Jay a little more closely. He looked agitated and restless, almost on edge. His fingers were constantly tapping against his leg, and even through the mask you could tell his gaze kept bouncing around from you, down to the streets, back up to the buildings across the street, then back down to his hands; like he had too much energy and no good way to get rid of it.
"...is it something you wanna talk about?"
He shook his head, hesitated, started to nod, then shook his head again. Stopped. Gave an awkward shrug instead.
The only other time you'd ever seen him look this unsure was the time when he'd gotten dosed with fear gas. You didn't like it.
