    A wry smile tugs one corner of Katsuki's mouth. "You chose me. I figured that'd come into play sooner or later."

    This is a story about Shigaraki not dying when AFO’s spirit leaves his body. It’s also a story about Katsuki never forgiving Izuku for sparing his life. And it’s a story about falling in love through strange things, like vacant eyes and apologies that seem too big to offer, not going to a wake and scratching palms, hating someone’s DNA and being plundered on synthetic floors, trying to breathe and tearing up everything you believe in, staying in bed and having to be forced to brush your teeth, and last but not least, being alone.
