Jack’s voice started before he could stop it. “Look, about last night…” Daniel’s face is unreadable, half-covered by his coffee cup. “It was a mistake. The kiss. It was a mistake,” He said.
“Oh,” Daniel said. “Yeah, no, I figured.” He sipped his coffee again. “You were drunk, I didn’t expect you to even bring it up again.”
“I just don’t want it to mess things up between us,” Jack said, and he really meant it.
“It won’t,” Daniel said, “Our friendship can survive one drunken kiss."
