Summary
A feeling of warmth came from within Darion. Not within, it felt as if it was just on his skin, like the sunlight warming one on a cool day. He sharpened his focus, the heat becoming more intense as the smell of hot metal reached his nose. There was a steady noise, the clang of someone working an anvil, though it was muddied, as if it was underwater. Another person joined in, then another, and soon there was only clang clang clang clang in his ears.
Then there was a thought that was not Darion’s in his mind, pressing into it in much of the same way someone would press an object into his hand, a desperate insistence in the simple gesture.
Shadowmourne.

Checking in with the tac mech who's clearly not digging this party is just polite. It turns out way better than Jazz'd hoped, though! Turns out Prowl's great! And also kinda faceblind.

"Is this about their latest SecUnit rescue subject?" ART asked. Nosy fucker; I should have known it would have bullied the other bot pilot for details.
"SecUnit extraction," I corrected, to be pedantic. Or is it pediatric? Whatever, I wasn't going to ask.
"So it is about that project?" ART plowed forward. "I am not surprised they want your input. You are one of the more valuable information sources they have."
"I just feel like they're setting themselves up for failure," I admitted. "Their newly freed SecUnits keep trying to self-destruct."
There was a .5 second pause. In the feed, it felt like an eternity. "I see," ART said, not sounding so smug anymore. "Yes, that is distressing."

Seth side-eyed Iris, then snorted a laugh when she made a talking motion with her hand. “Uh huh.”
« Iris, I saw that. My point is, it is frankly insulting that you immediately assume I did something bad— »
“Peri broke protocol on its last cargo run,” Iris interrupted loudly.

Or, Seth finds out that the surprises never end when your kid is a giant homicidal starship.
